Technical Assistance
The Center provides three types of technical assistance.

Research Consulting

The Center provides assistance in areas concerning the design and implementation of studies and the analysis of data capturing the needs of, services provided to, or policies affecting persons with mental illness who are in contact with the criminal justice system.

Guidance on Involving Prisoners as Human Subjects

The Center has developed a manual that describes the federal rules and regulations for involving prisoners in research, with sample consent and release of information forms.

Research Instruments and Tools

The Center develops new instruments to measure the need for and effectiveness of various types of services and programs, and are made available through the Center's website.
